Membership

The categories of membership are as follows:

​

• Full Membership shall be open to individuals who have achieved their eighteenth (18) birthday before the 30th of September of the year in which membership has been applied for.   Price £25

• Junior Membership shall be open to individuals whose eighteenth (18) birthday falls on or after the 30th of September of the year in which application has been applied for.   Price £10

• Family Membership shall be open two or more members of the same family household as a Full Member. It is a requirement that any members under the age of twelve (12) years are accompanied at all times, during Club activities, by a parent or nominated responsible adult.   Price £45

• Concession shall be open to Students, OAPs and others where agreed by the Club.   Price £10

​​For Family membership, there must be at least one Adult Member; then any mix of categories (but note it may be cheaper with separate memberships). Please speak with us about setting up a family membership.

Disclaimer

The Club accepts no collective responsibility for liability incurred by members participating in Club or individual activities. All such participation is entirely at the participants own risk. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that activities are supervised by senior and more experienced Club members such supervisors may not hold formal qualifications to act as Instructors or Coaches. Children under the age of 12 years may only participate in club activities when accompanied by a nominated responsible adult.

All members accept that they may be required to prove confidence and ability in water through swim tests and capsize drills prior to undertaking extended trips or trips on open water.
